Car Protect

Privacy Policy

Last updated 19 August 2026

Car Protect collects some device data needed to run and improve the service. No private user information is collected — no names, contacts, messages, photos, location, or anything you type.

except the data entered by setting up the app

What we collect

Information about the vehicle and the software on it: a device number for the car, its make, model and Android version, the list of installed apps and Settings screens so you can choose what to block, whether protection is switched on, and crash and usage data. Diagnostic logs are uploaded only when you press the upload button.

How it is used and shared

Only to run the app and fix faults. It is never sold and never used for advertising. It is seen only by the people who run Car Protect and by the service providers that store and carry it — Google Firebase and Cloudflare — and is given to nobody else, unless the law requires it.

Totals may be published — how many vehicles use Car Protect, for example. These are counts only: they name no vehicle and identify no one.

The data

Kept until deleted. You can ask for a vehicle's data to be deleted if you have its car ID — that is how a request is checked. Each request is reviewed, and the data is deleted unless there is a reason to keep it.

Changes

This policy may be changed at any time, without notice.
